Comparing the Best Vagina Candles on the Market

In order to determine who the has the best vagina candle on the market, we will compare the two best vagina candle lines that we found. 1) Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop X Heretic Line gained popularity with the This Smells Like My Vagina Candle and 2) The Vagina Candle by LV Candles Co. 

The This Smells Like My Vagina Candle by Goop X Heretic lead the way for the rest of our vagina candles and created the intrigue, curiosity, and speculation about what does a vagina candle smell like? After a small survey asking women what they thought that candle fragrance would be, 7 out of 10 answered, "something musky". But, all of the candles we found had a general blend of floral and sweet notes, which makes sense since that is exactly how my vagine smells ;)

Geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed to put us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth.

The scent of the candle is great. Unfortunately, there were numerous reported issues about  instances of these candles  exploding  

As much as we will try to base our comparison off of other features, this is an issue that cannot go without mentioning, even if it has been resolved. We would assume that any issues regarding safety were due to quality control being overlooked or bypassed in order to fulfill orders that they were behind on. When candles are produced en masse, things such as, faulty wicks, unexpected reactions to different ingredients being used, as well as faulty vessels from overseas, can all affect candles react when lit. Goop's response to the lawsuits brought against it over this candle have been that the customers most likely did not follow instructions on not burning the candle for over 2 hours at a time.

Overall, we rate this candle a solid B. Excellent packaging, great quality, and brilliant marketing with the added reach of Gwyneth Paltrow helped catapult this very niche category into the mainstream and we all have this candle to thank for allowing us to open the vagina dialogues in a completely new light hearted matter, and for this, we, thank Goop X Heretic for bringing this candle to the world. 

Because of Goop X Heretic issues, we at Bed Bath & Garden, felt it was necessary to research other products on the market that could not only meet all of the same standards, but, exceed them. Which lead us to finding, the aptly named, Vagina Candle by LV Candles Co. 

We are obviously bias since we are currently promoting the candle on our site. However, we based this partnership on the quality of the brand and candle. Not only until we were able to confirm via smell tests that this scent was preferred over every other candle. All of LV Candles also have our beloved wood wicks. 

We love wood wicks for the overall aesthetic, performance, and added sound effect to the experience. The crackling of the wick elevates the environment by creating the sounds of a log fire and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

All of LV Candles are also hand-poured in small batches to ensure consistency and to detect any issues that may arise during the cooling/settling process, which is also over a much longer period of time to give each candle a longer burn life. 

And with a more affordable price point, with a higher quality coconut soy wax and essential oils blend, in addition to the wood wick, are the main contributing factors. Finally, there has never been a safety or recall issue because of the quality of materials and ingredients in any of the candles sold by LV Candles. For all of these reasons, we have to give this candle a solid A - , since there can always be room for improvement. 

While we have our clear cut winner, we do love both candles for their unique qualities, and are sure you will to. You cannot go wrong with either, as they are both luxury candles, beautifully packaged, and smell amazing.
